Fortunately ....Cairns Domestic and International Airport is only 10 min's from the City Centre.

The departure point for the ferry to Fitzroy Island is THE REEF FLEET TERMINAL
AT THE ESPLANADE END OF SPENCE STREET.

Buses and Taxi's depart the Airport AT regular intervals.. a taxi costs approx. $12 & buses are $4.

• Fitzroy Island is a National Park. Collecting shells or plant material, disrupting wildlife and littering is prohibited. Penalties apply.

• Please camp within the CCC allotted camping boundaries and not on surrounding vegetation. Do not tie tent ropes or hang clothing on tree branches.

• Please stay on the tracks while walking on Fitzroy Island.

• Spear fishing and collecting are not allowed and oysters may be gathered for consumption on site. No fishing is allowed in Welcome Bay from the jetty and taking of non-finned fish such as squid and crayfish is prohibited around the island. Refer zoning sign.
